Eclipse the Moon Dragon was in his bed at Dragonet Academy, worrying. He was worrying because earlier that day, strange things had started happening. Nobody else had seemed to notice, but Eclipse thought that he had heard a voice coming from the stone floors of the Academy.
Eclipse finally decided to go to sleep and tell his twin sister, Sunset the Sun Dragon, about the voice in the morning.
Sunset the Sun Dragon was out of her bed at Dragonet Academy, grooming her white feathery wings and admiring the sunrise.
"SUNSET!"
Sunset whirled around, coming face-to-face with the black feathers and scales that belonged to her brother, Eclipse.
"Eclipse, what is it?" Sunset asked worriedly.
"I heard a voice coming from the floor," the Moon Dragon replied. "We need to go investigate!"
Even though she was not quite sure she believed Eclipse, Sunset did not ask questions. She knew that skepticism would do nothing except possibly upset her twin. Sunset and Eclipse slowly walked down the stone hallway. Suddenly, there was a booming noise, and Eclipse and Sunset came face-to-face with a dragon they never expected to see.
He was a Thunder Dragon. He had dark purple scales, lavender fur down his back, huge wings, and twisted horns. But Thunder Dragons were supposed to be extinct.
"How did you get here?" Eclipse asked.
"And how are you alive?" Sunset wondered.
"When the other Thunder Dragons were killed, I made myself immortal," he replied. "I've been living under the floor. When I heard you coming, I teleported to you. By the way, my name is Shadowstalker."
"Wow," was all the twins could say.
"Can you show me somewhere else to live?" Shadowstalker asked.
"There are some caves near here," Eclipse suggested.
"Thank you," Shadowstalker said. "Here, take this." Then he handed them a bag and teleported away.
The bag was filled with dead rabbits and fruit, and no matter how much Sunset and Eclipse took from it, it never ran out.
Kindness is always rewarded.
